Imam Yahya ibn Sharaf an-Nawawi
لاَ يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ إِلاَّ بِإِحْدَى ثَلاَثٍ: الثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِي، وَالنَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ، وَالتَّارِكُ لِدِينِهِ الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ
Laa yahillu damu imri'in muslimin illaa bi-ihdaa thalaath: ath-thayyibuz-zaanee, wan-nafsu bin-nafs, wat-taariku lideenihi al-mufarriqu lil-jamaa'ah
English
The blood of a Muslim is not lawful except in one of three cases: the married adulterer, a life for a life, and the one who abandons his religion and separates from the community.
