Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj
مَا مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ تُصِيبُ الْمُسْلِمَ إِلاَّ كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ بِهَا عَنْهُ، حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ يُشَاكُهَا
Maa min museebatin tuseebul-Muslima illaa kaffarallaahu bihaa 'anhu, hattash-shawkata yushaakaahaa
English
No calamity befalls a Muslim except that Allah expiates some of his sins because of it, even if it is the prick of a thorn.

Koi musibat Musalman ko nahin pahunchti magar Allah us se uske gunaah maaf karta hai, yahan tak ke ek kaante ki chubhan bhi.

کوئی مصیبت مسلمان کو نہیں پہنچتی مگر اللہ اس سے اس کے گناہ معاف کرتا ہے، یہاں تک کہ ایک کانٹے کی چبھن بھی۔
